Join us on a hike to Bogd Khan!
With a history more than 300 years old, Bogd Khan is a place known for its sacred mountains and rock carvings, for having more than 200 plant varieties, and as a place where animals such as bear, fox, hare, wolf, squirrel, eagles, woodpeckers and deer all call home.
Once we reach Bogd Khan Mountain, we’ll take our time first exploring Manjushir Monastery (51.5 km from UB), an 18th century monastery complex that was once home to more than 20 temples and some 300 monks in the southern part of the reserve. The monastery sits overlooking a beautiful valley of streams and granite boulders, offering fantastic views making it the perfect place to capture some incredible photos and catch your breath before we head to the trailhead.
